I know them because I spent twenty years in their shoes. My experience as an IT professional ranges from desktop support to project management.
Like your prospect, I worked through the different phases of deploying complex technology. My strengths lie in problem identification, research, and deployment of the solution.
I have sophisticated technology, how are you going to write about it?
I have an advantage over the average copywriter. I have researched, tested, documented, and deployed enterprise solutions to meet client requirements. I participated in every phase of hardware and software deployment. My involvement ranged from technician to project manager.

I am an American Writers and Artists Inc. (AWAI) trained B2B copywriter. I completed their core copywriting course through self-study and proctored online training.
I am a member of the Professional Writers’ Alliance (PWA). The PWA is the first international association for direct marketing copywriters.
Additional training to enhance my B2B copywriting skills includes web copywriting and certification, white papers, and email content.
In May 2015, I earned HubSpot Academy’s Inbound Marketing certification. Inbound Marketing blends several marketing techniques into a single marketing plan. Components include SEO, landing pages, blogging, lead nurturing and email marketing. Together they form a marketing strategy designed to have your prospects come to you.
I continue to improve my marketing skills in B2B online content production. My sources include CopyBlogger, Dan Kennedy, AWAI, Google, and SEO copywriter Heather Lloyd-Martin.
What kind of projects do you handle?
I write online copy such as white papers and web content. I like this medium because I can update the material as things change.
I also think that this is the best way I can introduce your technology to my former colleagues. Having been in their position I know what they are looking for and how to present it to them.
How can we place an order, and what do you need from us?

Email us a synopsis of what you need so I can get an idea of the scope of the project. We can then schedule a phone call to work out the details.
After we speak, we will send you a proposal with our recommendations. It will identify the services supplied, schedule of delivery, project cost and payment schedule.
If you approve, just sign and scan/fax me the document make the first payment, and we can begin.
On your part, we need a point of contact with whom we can coordinate. We will need information about your technology or service.
We ask that they have the authority to make decisions about the acceptability of drafts and final copy. A quick turn-around on your part is essential to keep to the agreed upon schedule.
What do you need to get started on our project?
We can begin when we receive the signed proposal and the first scheduled payment.
How do you charge for a project?
We charge you a flat fee for the entire project. We coordinate the project scope and deliverables with you before we begin. You know what we are going to deliver and how much it is going to cost.
This gives you budget predictability. The project fee will not change unless the scope of the project does. We must both agree on any changes.
How long will it take you to complete our project?
It depends on the scope of the project. We will work together to develop a delivery schedule.
As a project manager I know the importance of meeting deadlines. You will get your deliverables on or before the scheduled date and time.
What happens if we want to change the copy?
Revisions are not a problem. We expect and value your feedback. One of our deliverables is the initial draft. We encourage your input and will make any changes you want. Once we deliver the final product, we allow for one more revision. You must request it within thirty days, and it cannot exceed the scope of the project.
Do you work on retainer?
Yes. If you would like ongoing help with your Inbound or Content Marketing, we can arrange a monthly retainer. Each retainer tends to be unique so contact us so we can work out the details.
Are you a designer as well as a copywriter?
No, we are not designers. However, we can offer advice on website best practices for online appearance.
We do work with skilled designers and could put you in contact with them. Or, if you prefer, you can coordinate their activities through us.
If I need something fast, can you do a quick turnaround?
That depends on a couple of variables. First, it depends on our schedule. Second, it depends on how fast you need it.
If we are working on another project and can free up time, we will consider it. However, we will only agree if we can get both projects done without compromising quality.
Second, it depends on what it is and how soon you need it. If your deadline is so short that we cannot produce quality work, we will not accept the project. Also, a 30% rush fee will apply.
If you live in Panama, how can we work together?
Panama runs on Eastern Standard Time. They do not use Daylight Savings Time. If you are in another time zone, we will adjust our schedule to conform to yours. We can communicate through email, phone calls or Skype.
